New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday after meeting Dalit victims in Gujarat condemned the Una incident and promised to take action.
While addressing the media in Rajkot, Congress vice president said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks about Gujarat model, but if anyone here demands education, fights against big corporates, their voice is suppressed."
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi tweeted photos of him meeting Dalits youths who were admitted to a Rajkot hospital.

One of the Una victims after meeting Rahul Gandhi had said, "Why would we leave this village? People who hurt us should leave. We want to live a better life."
Speaking on the Gujarat incident, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu said, "What happened in Una is totally condemnable. State Government not only condemned it but took prompt action."

Meanwhile, incident of violence in Gujarat has stormed the monsoon session of the Parliament where opposition including Congress and BSP are attacking the BJP-led central government.
