New Delhi: In a controversial move, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann on Thursday uploaded a video using the 'Facebook Live' feature, in which he is seen entering the Parliament, passing through security procedure, approaching towards Parliament premises and showing the procedure of how questions are asked during zero hour of the Parliament.
After learning about the video, Parliamentarians across party lines called this a major security breach. Leaders also said this is a serious matter of breach of Lok Sabha security and they are going to raise the issue in the Parliament.
Meanwhile, General Secretary and spokesman of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Prem Singh Chandumajra said that he will raise the issue with the Speaker and the Home minister as well.
Giving his clarification for posting Parliament video on Facebook, Mann said, "First thing first, I was just talking about how the Parliament functions. People chose me, I came in my own car. Did my video pose a security threat to Parliament?" asks Bhagwant Mann after reporters posed question on his video.
Mann also said, "Kya meri video se sansad khatre mein aa gyi? I will post a video again tomorrow; let me be served a notice."
Is it illegal, inappropriate to post a video which shows procedure of how ques are taken up in Parliament during question hour? Bhagwant Mann added.
Targeting Bhagwant Mann, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi said, "He is an idiot. Speaker should take note, also, why did he do this? Suspect, agencies should debrief him; his privileges as MP should be taken away."
"It needs to be verified if it was act of foolishness or was done under infuence of some agencies," Lekhi added.
Highly irresponsible. Bhagwant Mann should have had some sense. There has already been an attack on the Parliament," said BJP's RK Singh.
