New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached Una, Gujarat on Friday to meet the Dalit victims who were allegedly beaten by a mob for skinning a dead cow.

The AAP leader censured the Anandiben govt in Gujarat for failing to take action against the culprits in the case. "BJP govt in Gujarat is trying to suppress Dalits in state. Such incidents must stop. Strict action must be taken against the culprits," said the CM.

The Delhi CM also told the press that the Gujarat state government was anti-Dalit.

The Dalit community in Gujarat staged intense protests after a group of Dalit individuals were beaten publicly by a mob for skinning a cow which was already dead. BSP leader Mayawati slammed the government on the first day of the Monsoon Parliament Session for exploitation of Dalit individuals in the country.
