One person goes missing while another was safely rescued

New Delhi: The recent flooding in Uttarakhand’s Kotdwar town resulted in one person missing while another was safely rescued. A person went missing on Tuesday when a bike was swept away in a flooded area in Kotdwar town of Uttarakhand’s Pauri Garhwal district.

The other affected person was rescued successfully by the local authorities.

The incident took place when a stream of water flowing from a nearby flooded hill terrace carried away the vehicle.

This news comes a day after two Army jawans were killed when their patrol truck fell off a cliff in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

In the past few weeks, rain and flash floods along with cloudbursts have disrupted normal life in the state.
