New Delhi: An Air India flight bound for Mumbai from London was grounded on Wednesday after a technical glitch in the system abruptly caused the flight to stay grounded at London’s Heathrow Airport.

It is unclear whether it was a minor or a major issue which had caused the flight to be grounded.

However, it is not new for Air India flights to face mid-air problems or snags prior to making its departure from the airport. Air India has been criticised many a times for its service and is notoriously known for delays.

Earlier, an Air India flight from Mumbai to Riyadh collided with an aerobridge, causing the plane to cancel flight for safety of its passengers.
