New Delhi: After Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Soni's suicide alleging sexual harassment against Ramesh Wadhwa, another AAP woman attempted suicide on Wednesday after naming two AAP lawmakers for extortion in a police complaint.
Rajesh Rishi was accused of extortion by the woman activist. The lawmaker, reacting to the allegation levied against him, said that he was not acquianted with the woman who had allegedly tried to commit suicide on July 15.
The second was Kartar Singh Tanwar, whose house was raided by an income tax team on Wednesday today.
The AAP women tried to commit suicide after she left a note behind saying that she had been harassed by her co-worker and the AAP lawmaker.
After 11 AAP lawmakers were arrested after being charged under various violations of the law, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said that the Centre was recalcitrantly targeting and persecuting his party.
