New Delhi: Locals in Neelum Valley in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) staged protest on Friday against the alleged rigged elections which had been earlier criticised by Indian External Affairs Minister Vikas Swarup.

Protesters blackened the election posters in the Neelam Valley to register their agitation over the rigged PoK polls.

In a press conference in Delhi, Vikas Swarup had criticised the "sham elections" which was recently held in PoK. He said that it was "another farcical exercise by Pakistan to cover up their illegal occupation."

Agitators even burned the Pakistani national flag on the streets following which, the police then cracked down upon the protesters.
