Daylight action witnessed in streets of Haryana; goons ambush police van to set free prisoner

Out of the police team members, a constable sustained injuries

Bahadurgarh: In a shocking incident on Saturday, a convoy of Delhi police carrying a prisoner, who was charged for murder, was attacked by a group of goons. The attempt was to free the prisoner, in which they achieved success.
The police van, having the prisoner, was going from Tihar jail to Haryana's Narwana  for hearing, when it was attacked by a group of unidentified men. The men attacked the police and sprinkled red chilli powder in their eyes and afterwards, freed the prisoner with the help of the arms. 
Service pistol of one of the constables was also snatched by the goons. 
Investigation is being carried out and efforts are being made to nab the prisoners as well as the people who helped him in fleeing.
The criminal has been identified as Jitender, a resident of Delhi's Alipur area. He was facing many charges comprising those of loot, murder, murder conspiracy etc. He was a wanted criminal by both, Haryana and Delhi police.
