New Delhi: A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against Uttarakhand legislator Harak Singh Yadav on Saturday after a woman allegedly accused him of raping her in his south Delhi residence.
As per reports, the complaint was registered at the Safdarjung police station in New Delhi by a 32-year-old woman hailing from Assam against the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) leader. The lady approached police on Friday night and lodged a complaint.
As per police sources, this is not the first time Harak Singh Yadav has been accused of such sexual overtures with woman. Earlier in 2014, he was booked for allegedly molesting a 30-year-old woman in New Delhi.
Harak Singh Rawat was one of the 8 other Congress MLAs who rebelled against the Uttarakhand government. Harak Singh and the other rebels joined the BJP about two months ago.
