Earlier when the incident took place on July 29, the robbers took the family at gunpoint and forced them to drive into the fields. The male members were isolated and that’s when the woman and her daughter were gangraped by the robbers. They snatched the money and jewellery from the victims and fled.

However, the family managed to reach the nearest police station to file a complaint on Saturday. As soon as the police got info about the incident, they reached the spot immediately, rescued the victims and sent them for medical examination and FIR was lodged.
