Two injured in IED blast near Manipur State Museum

A CRPF personnel and a boy were wounded in the blast

New Delhi: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a boy were wounded in an IED bomb blast in Manipur on Friday. The incident took place near Manipur State Museum at Imphal Polo Ground.

The CRPF personal of the 109 Bn Echo Company was on daily routine Quick Reaction Team (QRT) guarding the Raj Bhavan when the blast happened.

Some cars parked near the blast site were damaged by the impact.

Police sources said that no underground organisation has claimed responsibility.

A search operation was conducted around the blast site. No arrested has been made so far.

Last month, unidentified miscreants exploded a bomb in the headquarters of the hill district of Senapati. No one was injured in the explosion.
