8 killed after building collapses in Bhiwandi

Bhiwandi: An old, two-storey building collapsed in Maharashtra's Thane district on Sunday, killing the landlord, his wife and six other persons, while two others are believed to be trapped under the debris, officials said. 
According to reports, the building collapsed around 7 am on Sunday. At least 4 people were rescued and 6 more were feared trapped under the debris. Soon after the incident, a fire brigade was rushed to the site.
Meanwhile, rescue operation were under way and injureds were being taken to the nearby hospital.
This is the second such incident that has taken place in the city. 
A couple of days ago, at least 3 workers were killed and four got injured after an under-construction arch collapsed at Vasanth Nagar, area in Kukatpally of Hyderabad.
In another incident, an old building collapsed in Chilkalguda area in Hyderabad on Monday midnight which claimed two lives.
