2 BSF personnel injured in IED blast in Manipur

Two BSF jawans were injured in the explosion

New Delhi: A low intensify IED bomb exploded near Kangpokpi town along Imphal - Dimapur road, NH-01 on Monday, leaving two personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) injured.

The injured BSF personnel have been identified as Captain Anil Kumar and Captain Lalji Yadav.

Kumar has suffered a minor splinter injury on his hand whereas Yadav has suffered an injury on his leg.

Both injured personnel of the 54 Battalion were taken to a hospital and provided medical aid.

The incident occurred days after an IED bomb blast near Manipur State Museum at Imphal Polo Ground. At least three persons including two CRPF jawans were injured in the explosion.

A month ago, unidentified miscreants exploded a bomb in the headquarters of the hill district of Senapati.
