New Delhi: Former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Swamy Prasad Maurya on Monday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in presence of party president Amit Shah.
Massive supporter strength was witnessed during his induction at the BJP headquarters in the national capital.
Maurya, who was the leader of opposition in Uttar Pradesh state Assembly, had left the BSP on June 22. Maurya blamed the party supremo Mayawati of taking money for poll tickets and misleading the Dalit community.
Earlier, Maurya along with his supporters, went to Uttar Pradesh Bhawan in the national capital.
