One of two buses missing in Mahad bridge collapse found

New Delhi: Rescue team on Thursday found one of the two buses which went missing after Mahad bridge collapse incident in Maharashtra, said Additional SP Sanjay Patil.

The rescued operation continued since the tragedy occurred at Savitri River in Mahad town of Maharashtra on late night of August 2.

Defence PRO said after long search for the last 8 days, the Naval teams have located two bus wreckage submerged in water at Mahad.

The two wreckages seem to be parts of buses and were found approximately 170 and 200 meters from the collapsed bridge, it said.



Till now 26 bodies have been recovered from Savitri River from which 23 bodies have been identified and 41 people are still missing after the British-era bridge collapsed.
