Torrential rains in Uttarakhand cause spate in Ganga

Rishikesh: Following torrential rains in the hill state of Uttarakhand, the water level in the river Ganga on Thursday went above the danger level mark.
Monsoon rains across the country have caused severe problems to the people and have become the reason for flash floods affecting normal life.
Almost a month ago, the state was also hit by a cloudburst. NH 58 connecting Rishikesh-Badrinath witnessed massive traffic jams after the cloudburst. Around two teams of a total of 130 men of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were rushed to the affected areas.
