New Delhi: By what can be called as a huge relief for the cab users, the Delhi High Court has enforced a ban of surge pricing on private cab opeartors, which would now make the cab operators charge users at usual price and not more during the peak time or at the time of shortage.
From August 22 onwards, all the cab operators such as Ola, Uber, Meru and others would not be entitled to use the option of surge pricing and charging their customers more than the usual price.
However, it is expected that the cab operators would now appeal to the Supreme Court in order to get this decision revoked.
