Srinagar: In a gruesome incident that took place in the outskirts of Gundari Pora village in Pattan, district Baramula, Jammu and Kashmir, four people received firearm injuries after militants opened fire on the locals.

The two injured were identified as Abdul Rehman Wani aged about 30 years (son of Mahada Wani) and Aftab Ahmad Bhat (son of Abdul Rasheed Bhat), both residents of Gundari Pora.

Both the victims were rushed to the hospital for medical attention; however, two other locals who also received minor injuries during the shootout were treated locally.

Earlier this month, curfew was imposed in the Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramula district after four people were injured in pellet firing.
