New Delhi: The Allahabad High Court on Friday ordered a CBI probe into the Bulandshahr gangrape case.

The Bulandshahr gangrape incident took place on July 29 where a group of goons stopped a car with six-members of a family residing in Noida and sexually assaulted the mother and her 14-year-old daughter after dragging them out of the car.

Following the gangrape, UP CM Akhilesh Yadav had announced a compensation of Rs 3 lakh and a flat to each of the victims. The incident had also evoked a huge criticism for the Samajwadi Party government in the state over the law and order situation in UP.

As per the police, the seven accused allegedly planned the crime days in advance. The group used Kithore in Meerut district as their ‘base’, also the accused sought help from a local.

compensation for gang rape

it is surprising to note that a CM is announcing Rs. 3 lakhs and a flat for the victims, Instead of finding the culprits and punishing them. The announcement looks like settling the issue without any further probe and punishment. Is it justifiable????? Will it bring back the lost modesty and prestige of the family???
