ULFA militants kill 2 in Assam

Guwahati: In another terror attack, two persons were killed and at least seven were injured after unidentified militants, suspected to be members of United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), opened fire in a village in Tinsukia district of Assam on late Friday evening.
The dead are identified as Rajesh Shah and Kishori Shah; both are Hindi-speaking settlers of the district.
As per officials, militants armed with weapons fired upon a group of people who were assembled for a ‘kirtan’ recital in village Bamunbari under Philobari police station in Tinsukia. The incident took place at around 7:30 pm.
The seven injured persons who sustained bullet injuries have been shifted to hospitals in Tinsukia and Doomdooma. 
ULFA has been targeting Hindi-speaking settlers over the past years.
Earlier on August 5, suspected National Democratic Front of Bodoland(Songbijit), NDFB(S) militants open fired in a village market in Balajan Tiniali in Kokrajhar district of Assam.
