New Delhi: Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a high-level meeting on Sunday where all the security-related issues are going to be discussed before the Independence Day on Monday, 15 August.
With mounting concern about possible terrorist infiltration across Indian borders, especially with Pakistan, India has stepped up its security arrangements to nullify any attacks which occur on the soil on the Independence Day.
The meeting was attended by top officials from the Indian security forces. Indian National Security Advisor (NSA), chief of Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the chief of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) was present at the meeting.
In the wee hours of Sunday morning, Pakistani troops fired shots toward Indian troops, violating the ceasefire along the Line of Control separating India and Pakistan.
