New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident in New Delhi’s Vikaspuri, a 22-year-old biker died after his throat was slit by ‘manjha,’ kite string, leading to excessive bleeding. After his neck got entangled in the string, the man fell off the bike suffering major injuries.

The victim, Zafar Khan, was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

The incident took place around 5 pm when the man was returning after meeting his sister in Janakpuri area. He was heading his home in Nihal Vihar when the tragedy occurred.

The man was crossing the Keshavpur elevated road when he came in contact with the kite string, after which he fell off his bike, hitting his head on the divider.

The passersby tried to make him regain his consciousness but all in vain. People told that Zafar was not wearing a helmet.
