New Delhi: Days after cash meant to be transferred to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was robbed from a train in Salem, another incident of gold jewellery theft has come to light.
According to reports, five and a half kilograms of gold jewellery and Rs 1,34,000 were stolen from a Muthoot mini finance centre in Salem on Tuesday.
The robbers had entered the shop by making a hole in the back wall. The incident came to light when the officials of the finance agency opened the store after the Independence Day holiday.
Salem range DIG Nagaraj said that they are inspecting the location.
