Guwahati: In an unfortunate incident, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Assam, Ratnaswer Moran's son was kidnapped by suspected United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) on August 1 from Nampong, Arunachal Pradesh. An amount of Rs 1 crore has been demanded by the kidnappers as ransom.
The information came into public domain after the demand of Rs 1 crore was made as a ransom amount by the kidnappers.
As per the initial information, the police have confirmed that they suspect the kidnapping has been done by the ULFA agents who operate around that area. Meanwhile, the big concern remains of how to rescue the boy before analysing the reason behind this kidnapping.
This is not the first incident, as in the past too, kidnappings have used as a key strategy by such terror agents to access funds to buy arms to catalyse militancy in these areas.
