New Delhi: A photo of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan being carried by cops during his visit to the flood-affected areas went viral on Sunday.

In the photo, two policemen were seen carrying Shivraj Singh Chouhan as they walked through ankle-deep water. The CM’s arms were wrapped over the policemen’s shoulders, managing to stay dry in his make-shift seat.

The picture was widely criticized and Chouhan ended up becoming the recipient of bad publicity.

However, the CM office told media that police officials carried Chouhan because he had trouble walking after his foot hit a hard object in the mud.

But it did not stop Twitterati from expressing their anger over Chouhan’s conduct.

After so much of criticism, the Madhya Pradesh CM on Tuesday finally decided to react on his much debated ‘flood photo.’ But he again did a disaster by giving a new statement which is completely different from what his office had said. The MP CM is being trolled again on Twitter.
Chouhan said that he had to cross a bridge to meet a few flood victims standing across the other end and before he could understand, two policemen lifted him and crossed the bridge.

“Had to cross bridge to meet a few flood victims standing across other end. Before I could und, 2 policemen lifted me & crossed bridge.”

Blaming media, Chouhan said that he visited many villages to meet the flood victims but only that photo got reported heavily.
