Kashmir protests: Fresh clash between security forces and locals in Pulwama, one civilian dead

New Delhi: After parts of Srinagar saw a lift of the curfew imposed in the region after violent protests following the death of Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani, fresh clash between locals and security forces broke out in Pulwana on Wednesday.

According to reports, one civilian was killed in the clash between security forces and civilians. Around forty people have been reportedly injured in the clash in the venue where a rally was going to be held.

The death toll in Jammu and Kashmir now has risen to 68. Most of the people involved in clashes with forces are youths.

Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh is in Kashmir to assess the deteriorating situation in the region.
