Srinagar: Amidst the unrest in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), which has seen several protests post Burhan Wani’s encounter, Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday paid a 2-day visit to the Valley.

This is the second visit by the Home Minister in Kashmir. During his visit, he met the Congress and the National Conference (NC) delegations. Former Chief Minister and NC Chief Omar Abdullah was also present in the meeting.

Asserting the importance of a dialogue in the Valley, Omar Abdullah said, “It’s very important that a political dialogue should be initiated with stake holders of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation led by party’s J&K President Sat Sharma also met the Home Minister.
