New Delhi: Union Transport and shipping minister Nitin Gadkari was on Wednesday appointed as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) election in-charge in Goa for the upcoming assembly polls.
BJP president Amit Shah appointed Gadkari the in-charge for the elections scheduled to be held next year.
Days ago, Shah said that the results of 2017 of the Goa assembly polls will lay the foundation for BJP’s victory in the 2019 general elections.
He expressed his confidence that the party will win 27 seats out of a total 40 in the Goa assembly elections.
Meanwhile, Aam Admi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal stated that the real fight in the Assembly polls would be between AAP and BJP. He said the Congress would not be able to win even a single seat in the 40-member House.
