New Delhi: Morality took a downhill when a 24-year-old youth was arrested from Bakkarwala of north Delhi on indictment of creating fake Facebook profile of girls. As per the DCP of North west Delhi, contact details of at least 100 girls were acquired from him.
The arrested individual would seek information about the girls by visiting the profiles of their common friends and later on sent them friend requests with fake profiles. After exchange of some messages, the accused Akhilesh used to pester them to get personal details. He would invite them to his place and those who refused were humiliated with floods of obscene material on their fake profiles.
One of the women registered a case at Maurya Enclave police station alleging that an obscene profile of her minor daughter had been created on FB by an unknown person. The individual used to harass her online.
Police, in their investigative probe, arrested the accused on August 22, said the officer. With their unremitting interrogation, the cyber bully admitted his crime. He has been involved in this offence since one-and-a-half years.
