New Delhi: PhD student Anmol Ratan, accused of raping a fellow scholar  at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), was sent to 14 days judicial custody on Thursday.
 
The All India Students’ Association (AISA) activist, Ratan was produced  before a Patiala House court on Thursday, hours after he surrendered before the Delhi Police at Vasant Kunj station. 
 
Ratan has been accused of raping a 28-year-old student of JNU in his hostel room. As per victim's statement, Anmol had picked her up from her hostel and took her to his hostel named Brahmputra to give her a film. He then offered her some drink which was spiked with a sedative and then sexually assaulted her.
