Panaji: The Goa government will conduct a comprehensive survey of the state’s transgender population over the next three months, a senior official of the state Planning and Statistics Department said on Friday.
Joint Director Y Durga Prasad said the survey will help map their exact population as well as enable the community to avail of “socio-economic entitlements” from the state as well as central government agencies.
