New Delhi: The Centre has decided to slap terror charges against the televangelist Zakir Naik for allegedly inspiring people to join Islamic State. The government has also decided to ban his NGO.
The Mumbai-based Islamic preacher has been more in controversy since July, when he was held responsible for influencing the perpetrators of the Dhaka cafe terror attack. During this time, the Bangladesh government decided to ban Zakir Naik’s channel ‘Peace TV’ in the country. Thereafter, Indian government also considered the same.
