New Delhi: In the latest update in the National Herald case, Patiala House Court has issued notices to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi, seeking response on Subramanian Swamy’s application that he submitted in court last month. Apart from them, five others have also been sent the notice.
Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy filed an application seeking summoning of documents from Associated Journals Limited (AJL).
The accused have to file a response on Swamy’s application within two weeks.
The next date of hearing has been scheduled for October 4, 2016.
Subramanian Swamy had accused Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and others associated with Congress of conspiring to cheat and grant interest-free loan to Associated Journals Limited, which was not repaid later. Young Indian, a closely held company, was later formed in 2010 which acquired the entire shareholding of AJL.
