Lucknow: In what can be called as a shocking and inhumane diktat, a village panchayat in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh has ordered two men, who have been accused of raping two sisters, of marrying the victims.

The complainants, the two sisters, had alleged that the two men had raped them on several occasions on the pretext of marriage. They had promised to marry them and on that line, they raped them several times.

The mother of the two sisters had filed a complaint against the two accused, citing the same reason of marriage.

However, bringing some relief to the family, the police lodged a case against the accused on Friday.
