New Delhi: At least two persons were killed on Tuesday after a mud-house collapsed in Dhalai district of Tripura.
Several others were injured in the incident that occurred due to heavy rainfall over the past few weeks.
Tripura has been facing food and fuel crisis after the highway was damaged for a couple of months following incessant rains. Trucks loaded with essential commodities were stranded along the highway.
Last month, residents staged protest on streets against the shortage of basic commodities and hike in fuel prices. The repair work going on the highway was stopped because of the rains.
