New Delhi: Coming down heavily on Delhi government over the problem of water logging in the national capital, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday sharply commented that water logging cannot be tolerated year after year.
While taking up a matter of water logging in South Extension area of Delhi, the High Court said there is no justification for clogging of drains. An angered bench quoted example of water logging been seen in front of the residence of even Vice-President Hamid Ansari. 
Both South Delhi Municipal Corporation and Delhi Jal Board have been notified by the court to clear clogging of movement of water everywhere in the region, the hearing of which will take place on September 28. 
The court also came up with the issue of Dengue and Chikungunya which can be aggravated due to the potholes and collected water on roads acting as breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
