New Delhi: The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is all set to hold a demonstration outside the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence today at 11AM. This comes a day after the Delhi CM sacked his Women and Child Development minister Sandeep Kumar after receiving an 'objectionable CD' of the AAP minister.
The CD contained a 9-minute video that shows Kumar in “a compromising position with two women” in addition to some photographs. Announcing the dismissal of Kumar, Kejriwal on Wednesday tweeted, “Recd “objectionable” CD AAP stands for propriety in public life. That can’t be compromised.”
As per current reports, the AAP minister has said that the CD is an old one and some sources have alleged that the CD is of Sandeep's college days.
The Deputy CM of Delhi M.Sisodia told reporters that AAP was a party of principles. "We have zero tolerance against any kind of corruption, crime or any such activity," he said. "The CM received an objectionable CD of Sandeep Kumar and within half an hour, the decision to remove the minister was taken and Kumar was sacked," he further added.
This is yet another blow for the AAP government who's MLAs and MPs have constantly been embroiled in controversies and is a huge setback for the party.
Responding to the incident, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh said, "From day one, Arvind Kejriwal has followed opportunistic politics."
