Unidentified man detained at The Leela Palace

New Delhi: An unidentified person was detained from the lobby of The Leela Palace hotel where the US Secretary of State, John Kerry is staying. The person was caught holding a sharp object.

As per sources the accused was earlier blacklisted from the hotel due to misconduct and it is possible that he was disturbed and so was trying to create chaos.

The sources informed that when the hotel staff tried to stop him, he got into a brawl with the security forces, later he was handed over to the local police.

After thundershowers lashed the capital, Delhi, and lead to chaos across NCR Kerry’s visit had to be extended by a day.

Earlier, due to the heavy rains Kerry’s visit to three religious places was also cancelled in the capital. Also, on his visit to India Kerry addressed the students of IIT-Delhi where he also took a jibe on the drainage system of Delhi saying, “You must have used boats to come here”.
