New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will lead an all-party delegation to Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Sep 4-5, amidst unrest in the state post Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani’s encounter.
According to reports, the 30-member delegation will include leaders from over 20 political parties. A preparatory meeting for this delegation will be convened on September 3 (Saturday).
There will also be an interaction with the Governor Narinder Nath Vohra and J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. Delegation will also hold meeting with representation of all political parties and other delegations in Srinagar.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who was also invited to join all-party delegation for Kashmir has accepted the invitation.
