The peddlers were carrying marijuana worth around Rs 44 lakhs in a truck

New Delhi: A joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and police on Saturday arrested two persons carrying marijuana worth around Rs 44 lakhs in a truck in Tripura’s Rastarmatha area.

The peddlers were nabbed when they were driving towards Guwahati.

Few days ago, Coast Guard personnel seized 17.05 kilograms of ganja off Fourth Island near Rameshwaram in a joint coordinated operation with customs and other security agencies.

Last month, personnel of SSB seized drugs worth Rs15 crore from an Indian woman and a Nepali man on India-Nepal border area in Darjeeling.
