New Delhi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief Praveen Togadia on Sunday hailed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for enforcing total prohibition in the state.

“I salute Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for enforcing total prohibition in Bihar,” Togadia said.

The VHP chief made an appeal to other states to impose liquor ban. He also said that VHP has launched a nationwide de-addiction campaign ‘India Health line’ to help people quit drinking.

“The de-addiction campaign had received good response from the people in several states,” Togadia said.

The Bihar government enforced total prohibition in the state in April this year.
