New Delhi: Former news anchor and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashutosh on Monday was summoned by the National Commission for Women (NCW) for supporting sacked AAP minister Sandeep Kumar, over his alleged involvement in a sex scandal.
The NCW summoned Ashutosh for not just defending Sandeep Kumar but also for the nature of comparison that he had made in his statements and articles where he compared Sandeep's acts to the lives of the leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi.
A couple of days ago, Ashutosh, in an open letter, defended sacked AAP minister Sandeep Kumar, over his involvement in a leaked sex video and said his act was "consensual and private".
In a long post published on the NDTV website, Ashutosh said, "The sex was consensual, private act. TV editors are indulging in bigger stupidity."
