New Delhi: Eid al-Adha will be celebrated in India on September 12. The holiday will be observed on 12 September across the country.
Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakrid, is the second of Muslim festivals celebrated worldwide each year. The festival is celebrated to honour the willingness of prophet Ibrahim, who sacrificed his son, as an act of submission to God’s command.
Every year, thousands of Muslims sacrifice goats, buffalos and camels on Eid al-Adha.
