New Delhi: J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti hit out at stone pelters and said that the miscreants use children as shield. CM Mehbooba mufti also dared the stone pelters to spend a night at home.
Mehbooba Mufti, on the situation in Kashmir said, “What has militancy achieved?” The CM said that people have missed a very important chance to meet and resolve issues with the parliamentarian delegation who visited Kashmir.
While addressing a press conference with Home Minister Rajnath Singh earlier in August, the J&K Chief Minister lost her cool. It was almost a role reversal with the usually conciliatory Mehbooba donning a hawkish tone with regards to those protesting in the streets and making it clear that she believes that 95% of Kashmiris want peace and it’s just the 5% that she termed trouble makers.
After a meeting the Prime Minister in Delhi in the month of August, Mufti had said that Pakistan has been openly trying to provoke violence and fuel disruption in the Valley. She had also said that Pakistan, instead of trying to improve the situation prevailing in Kashmir, is trying to worsen it.
