BSF seizes 25 packets, suspected to be heroin, at India-Pakistan border of Ajnala sector

New Delhi: Personnel of Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday seized 25 packets, suspected to be heroin, at India-Pakistan border of Ajnala sector in Punjab.

In recent times, there has been a spurt in reports of drug smuggling and anti-national activities along the border area.

A few days ago, the BSF seized two kilograms of heroin in Ferozepur sector. Operational guidelines were issued to all sectors and battalions for strengthening the border domination.

Earlier, eight kilograms of heroin was seized from a person at the India-Pakistanborder in Abohar sector. A China-made pistol was also seized from him.
