At least 20 people were killed and many injured after a private bus feel off a bridge at Manitri in Odisha.

Bhubaneswar: At least 20 people were killed and many injured after a private bus fell off a bridge at Manitri near in Odisha’s Angul district on Friday morning.
According to reports, 14 persons died on the spot while six succumbed to injuries in hospital. The bus was going from Boudh to Athamallick in Angul district.
The locals began rescue work and the victims were immediately rushed to the Angul district hospital and the SCB Medical college hospital in Cuttack.
“We have received a report of about 15 deaths in the accident. The bus carrying around 50 passengers was going from Boudh to Athamallik. We have deployed several ambulances. We are also considering using air-ambulance for transporting seriously injured ones,” said Anil Samal, District Magistrate of Angul.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed the state govt and the district administration to provide medical assistance to the victims.
