AAP coordinator tries to rape minor, booked

New Delhi: In more trouble for the Aam Aadmi Party, a minor Dalit girl has claimed that the party coordinator from Lehragaga unit in Punjab tried to rape her.

According to the Times of India report, the 15-year-old girl had gone to AAP coordinator Hardeep Singh’s photo studio with her sister to get her photo clicked when he allegedly tried to rape her.

After hearing the cries of the girl, the younger sister raised an alarm. The passers-by and the villagers gathered at the site. They tried to open the door of the dark room, but it was locked from inside.

Realising that the villagers were outside, hardeep opened the door and escaped.

Jasbir Singh Sekhon, Sangrur zone coordinator told TOI that, "The police should not work under political pressure, but should reach the truth. If Hardeep is found guilty, strict action should be taken against him."

An FIR has been registered by the Moonik police against the AAP coordinator.
