New Delhi: After criminal-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin was released from jail after 11 years and returned home to Siwan on Saturday night, the former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party member did not resist from sharing his displeasure with the Nitish government in the state.
Received by an uproarious crowd in his hometown of Siwan, Shahabuddin waved to the ensemble before talking to the reporters.
When asked about the ruling government in the state and about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shahabuddin said, “Regular CM hote hain jo mass se aate hain, ek hote hain jo Gathbandhan bana…paristithi aisi bani.” (Regular Chief Minister is one who comes from the mass, but there is one who comes through collision…because of the circumstances.)
When asked to elaborate, Shahabuddin said, “I just said that Nitish Kumar became CM because of circumstances, so what is wrong in that?”
A displeased Shahabuddin also pledged his allegiance to Lalu Prasad Yadav and said, “Mai Bihar ka politics nahin karta.Meri politics ki alag paribhasha hai,Lalu Yadav ka politics karta hoon.” (I don’t play Bihar politics. My politics has a different definition; it is Lalu Yadav’s politics.)
