New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be likely the Bharatiya Janata party’s mascot for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh polls, slated for early next year.
BJP members said that they have planned big rallies for PM Modi to address the people of UP and also they will launch a campaign in the state to highlight the achievements done by Narendra Modi govt for the poor.
"There is a need to communicate to people about the schemes that are in place to benefit them," said a party leader form UP.
Modi will address one rally each month before the poll dates are announced, the party sources said.
BJP President Amit Shah and Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be the other two prominent faces, who would lead the campaign.
This comes days after the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi started his 2500 km Yatra in UP to woo the voters in the state where elections will be held early next year.
