An internet service provider were asked to shut down services from 4 pm

New Delhi: The Kashmir government on Monday asked all the private internet providers in the valley to suspend their services with immediate effect.

An internet service provider reportedly received an order from the police to shut down the internet from 4 pm on the eve of Eid.

The state authorities are likely to impose strict restrictions on the festival day following a march rally “UN Chalo” called by the joint separatist leadership.

On Monday, nine persons including a civilian were injured after a gunfight erupted in Poonch district, the same place where four persons were killed on Sunday.
